Can I share something with you? I've been working on my memoir for WAYY toooooo long!! I won't bore you with all the sordid and fearful details of my procrastination but, the memoir just wasn't me.
It didn't feel right. As I reread my 200+ pages, I just felt sadness. My pages smile was upside down. Experiencing multiple heatlh issues, felt depressing but, I'm not a sad person and I definitely don't serve a sad God.
I had to go back to the basics and remember my WHY. What was my why? Why was I writing a memoir and HOW, did I end up in Writer's Block for seven years???

It began as a healing testimony book but, again WHY was this important to share with the world? WHO was I reaching? WHAT kept their attention.? When I stopped and let God guide those questions, I found myself writing about my childhood and when I declared at age 8 or 9, that I'd be an author when I grew up. Knowing this excites me and made my 200+ pages make sense and bring hope to the readers. Just by taking a step away and asking the Why's, How's, and What's, is a good way to reset and see your novel from a clear perspective. My third and final revisions will be emailed back to me by next week! #WINNING

Now it's YOUR turn. What is your WHY for the book you're writing or desire to write? What stories will you SHOW, not TELL, to make your words jump off the page? Remember, it is ok, to walk away from your future book. Just be sure to come back and finish it
